Immune Boost Bundle (Flu Prevention)
Research published in late 2009, found a lack of vitamin D3 reduces the benefits of progesterone, which is why we recommend taking Vitamin D3, along with Progesterone Cream. So both progesterone and Vitamin D regulate gene expression, and have a positive fundamental effect on cell differentiation and growth, with anti-oxidative and autoimmune anti-inflammatory mechanisms. Both positively affect the nervous system by stimulating neurotrophic factors, quenching oxidative hyperactivity and regulating autoimmune responses. Read more.
The following are supplements that will help build your immune system, fight the flu and help with many other disorders:
For daily maintenance, I recommend the following:
Take 2-Ultra K2 with D3 (each capsule provides 5,000 IU of vitamin D3 along with 180 mcg of vitamin K2) which is a combined total of 10,000 IU’s.
If you are exposed in public areas and people, I recommend the following:
Take 2-Vitamin D3 (10,000 IU’s) and 1-Ultra K2 with D3 - Combined total of 15,000 IU’s.
It is recommended that people who have not been on vitamin D should start with our Vitamin D3 Max which is 50,000 IU per capsule for seven days.
A therapeutic strength of Vitamin D3 will help prevent the flu, as well as most colds. At the same time, vitamin D3 has been shown to prevent about 26 different cancers, with breast cancer at the top of the list, and it has other significant benefits. Many of these are related to the fact that it is a prohormone, rather than a vitamin. In high doses it prevents Type II diabetes, prevents dementia, helps with depression, and helps to eliminate osteoporosis. In addition, this strength of Vitamin D3 prevents sunburns, as well as the risk of skin cancer.Normal vitamin D levels are stated to be between 30 and 100. My feeling is they don't really know what a normal level of vitamin D should be. It appears that most of us have lost the ability to convert sunlight into vitamin D. Studies done in Hawaii and Costa Rica have indicated that residents there all have low vitamin D levels. In my own practice in Southern California I never had a patient with a normal vitamin D level who was not taking vitamin D.
About Ultra Vitamin K2 with D3:
- Prevents arterial plaque and heart disease
- Builds strong bones and prevents osteoporosis
- Fights cancer
- Stronger antioxidant than vitamin E and CoQ10
- Supports immune health
Vitamin K is unique because it acts like a hormone and shows no toxicity. Vitamin K can be found in assorted vegetables such as broccoli, collard greens, green cabbage, kale, spinach, tomatoes and fermented foods. You would have to eat one pound of collard greens daily to get the equivalent amount of vitamin K in one Ultra K capsule. Vitamin K deficiency may lead to insulin resistance which may contribute to diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease. Vitamin K helps calcify bones and protects against calcification in the blood vessels. This forgotten vitamin may have the power to prevent heart disease and eliminate the pain from stiff, swollen joints. A new study published in the American Journal of Epidemiology found that it fights inflammation. It’s a direct cause of heart disease, osteoporosis, arthritis, even Alzheimer’s. Vitamin K can help prevent—and sometimes even reverse—many of these conditions. Our vitamin K2 provides the highly bioavailable form of vitamin K2 as MK7.Each capsule provides 5,000 IU of vitamin D3 along with 180 mcg of vitamin K2.
About Vitamin D3:
There is nothing better to prevent the flu and It is the number one stimulus for bone growth
- Prevention and treatment for Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis
- Improves memory and prevents Alzheimer’s
- Treatment for Crohn’s and colitis
- Good for seasonal affective disorder
- Known to prevent 26 cancers
- It is the number one stimulus for bone growth
This one simple supplement can cut your risk of breast cancer in half. And you can cut your risk of colon cancer by as much as 67%. Vitamin D3 protects against sunburn and skin damage.
Recent studies indicate vitamin D is protective against neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis.. We know vitamin D helps normalize brain function. Its protective effects on nerve growth factors in the brain make it an ideal nutrient to use for either prevention or treatment of these diseases. One study found low levels of vitamin D levels correlated with depression, bipolar disorder, and impaired memory. Vitamin D enhances insulin sensitivity, leading to lower insulin levels thereby helping with weight loss.
Reduces effects of psoriasis, promotes bone health, prevents Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, MS, diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, back pain, breast, colon, prostate and lung cancer prevention.
If you haven't read my first Blog on the Coronavirus on building your immune, read important facts on Vitamin D.
A Special Note:
The latest news classifying coronavirus as a pandemic has spiked our anxiety on a global scale.
One important thing to keep in mind is that when you’re anxious and under stress, the stress hormone cortisol builds up inside your body. This hormone can weaken your immune system.
The number one cause of stress is excess adrenaline.
You cannot overdose on progesterone cream. Any time you might be experiencing anxiety or stress, feel free to apply a pump to your inner forearms or the back of your neck. You can even think of progesterone as an anti-aging hormone because it helps prevent the shortening of your telomeres due to stress and adrenaline. As you might be aware, telomeres are found on the ends of your chromosomes. Their length determines how long you will live.
Do not be misled by the media – this flu is not limited to the elderly. Almost 50% of those hospitalized in Europe are below the age of 50.
Platt PRO has a 5% strength, which means that one pump provides 50 mg of progesterone. To gain insight into some of the actions of progesterone, please refer to the Progesterone Information below.
After it is applied, progesterone only lasts for about 5-6 minutes in the bloodstream because it is quickly picked up by receptor sites.
Since it is so short acting, the best time to use progesterone is 1-3 minutes before eating. The most important time of day to use progesterone is before lunch. Insulin levels are the highest in the afternoon, which, of course, is why many people get sleepy between 3-4PM. Please keep in mind that when sugar levels drop, the body will be releasing adrenaline to raise the sugar levels back up.
Strength: 50 mg per pump
Apply 1 pump to the inside of one forearm and rub forearms together. Or apply to the back of the neck if there is tension.
For those with increased adrenaline, we recommend using the cream 1-3 minutes before meals in order to control insulin levels.
Do this up to four times a day. When symptoms of increased adrenaline are abated, you can reduce applications to 2-3 times a day.
If you have trouble sleeping at night, it is recommended that you eat a low-glycemic carbohydrate just before going to bed. In addition, apply the cream again just before eating your bedtime snack.
Progesterone provides benefits to both men and women in three major areas. The first area is its well-known effect in women as the hormone that helps block the detrimental effects of estrogen. In this regard, it helps prevent menstrual cramps, breast tenderness, and PMS in those women who are menstruating, along with fibroids, endometriosis, PCOS, and fibrocystic disease of the breast. It also eliminates other problems caused by estrogen such as asthma, migraine headaches, and morning sickness. In addition, it helps to prevent all cancers caused by estrogen, such as cancers of the breast, uterus, ovaries, cervix, colon, and the prostate in men.
The second major area of benefit from using progesterone is the effect it has on insulin. Insulin is a hormone that is associated with the causation of obesity as well as type II diabetes and its many complications. It is a fact that insulin raises blood pressure and is felt to be a major influence in speeding up the aging process. Progesterone blocks insulin receptor sites on cells, thereby helping to eliminate drops in blood sugar (hypoglycemia). As a result, it prevents sleepiness after eating, between 3 and 4 PM, and while driving. This ability to block the effects of insulin also helps with weight loss.
The third major area of benefit of using progesterone is that it blocks the action and over-production of adrenaline. Adrenaline is popularly known as “the-fight-or-flight” hormone, and excess levels can create anger, road rage, insomnia, restless leg syndrome, and teeth grinding. When anger is internalized, it can lead to depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia, IBS, plus other problems. As a neurotransmitter in the brain, adrenaline can cause the mind to race which can cause problems with focusing – i.e. ADHD, or “brain fog”. It also causes urinary urgency in adults as well as bed-wetting in children. Adrenaline is probably the number one cause of unexplained weight gain. Leg cramps at night are also caused by adrenaline, and can usually be relieved within 30-60 seconds when progesterone is applied to the area of cramping.
Other benefits: 1) it can have a significant effect on the lowering of blood pressure, 2) it can help infertile women get pregnant, 3) it can prevent or treat postpartum depression, and 4) it is beneficial for relieving peripheral neuropathy.
